Update: Goose has found a forever home in Toronto. Yay!

**NOTE: Goose is currently with a foster family in Toronto.

Goose was found on the streets in a small village in Paju, Korea in the spring of 2016. He then spent the next 6 years  living in the shelter without any prospects of adoption. Thankfully, Goose recently flew to Canada and is now with a foster family in Toronto.

Goose was always sweet and obedient to the shelter staff and volunteers. His happiest times was when he was given attention. At the shelter, he lived with his long time room mate Callie with whom he was friendly and submissive with. However, he was not a fan of other dogs who were high energy or assertive.

Despite being in a shelter for so many years, Goose has settled into his foster home in no time at all. His foster notes he has shown little signs of fear or trauma, and acts as if he’s known her his whole life. Goose loves and trusts people easily, even if he’s only met them for a few minutes. He felt comfortable pretty much immediately after arriving, with a tail that never stops wagging and a smile from ear to ear as he follows his human around like a shadow.

Goose is a very affectionate boy who wants all the cuddles, all the time. He backs his bum up against you when you sit and leans up against you and even sits on your lap. If you’re looking or a TV cuddle buddy, Goose is certainly your boy. He is very intrigued with the TV and thinks he is a lap dog. If he fits, he sits.

He is potty trained, and has a healthy appetite.

Goose has a prey drive, and a strong will to instinctively chase squirrels and cats. As such, he would require a home without cats or other small animals. He is still working on his leash manners. Although this is still an area he is working on, he has proven himself to be a smart boy who has already improved in a short time.

His ideal adopter would be with a family who has the time to spend with him, as spending quality time with his humans is all that he seems to need and want (although he does still need and want his walks). He would appreciate active humans who enjoy leisurely walks and outdoor activities. A secure yard for him to run around or relax in would be preferred, but not a requirement for adoption.

Goose’s adoption fee is $560 CAD.
