Update: Choongyi has found a forever home in Toronto. Yay!

*Note: Choongyi is currently in foster care in Mississauga.

Choongyi was rescued from a high-kill shelter earlier this year. After being rescued, he lived at our partner boarding house with other dogs in Korea before flying to Canada to find his forever home. He is currently with a foster family in Mississauga, ON.

Choongyi is shy and reserved when meeting strangers, and takes time to warm up as he gets to know you. As we expected, he was apprehensive with his new foster family in Canada but has been making progress. Despite his shyness, Choongyi is very gentle and submissive. He has never responded by growling or nipping when he feels out of his element. Once he has been given the time to get acquainted, he has a very sweet and affectionate personality towards the humans he trusts, as seen in his videos.

Choongyi does great with other dogs, where he finds his confidence. He is curious and gentle with the dogs he meets. In fact, having a home with another small, friendly dog for him to mirror would be his ideal circumstance.

This sweet boy’s ideal home is one in a more quiet area (as he will get startled by loud sounds and people while he is adjusting) with people living a quiet and relaxed lifestyle, and can be home with him more often than not. He would do best in a home with another small, friendly dog sibling.
