Update: Bumsoon has found a forever home in Vancouver. Yay!

* NOTE: Currently, Bumsoon is with a foster family in Vancouver.

Bumsoon was rescued from an abusive and neglectful owner who tied her to a pole on a short chain. She was likely chained from puppyhood, because she suffered injuries to her neck as a result of a collar that was so tight it cut into her neck, and was not adjusted as she grew. She was rescued by a neighbor who  convinced her owner to allow them to take her to the vet, and eventually surrendered her entirely. She was provided the medical care needed, which included urgent surgery.

At the time of her rescue, Bumsoon had given birth to 4 puppies. The pregnancy and birth was very difficult for her, as she was in poor physical condition as a result of her abuse. She could not produce enough milk to nurse her babies and unfortunately only 1 survived.

After she was rescued, Bumsoon and her babies lived at our partner boarding house where she was great with people and was very affectionate with them. She gets along well with other dogs, big or small. At the boarding house, she had a particular soft spot for Doil. (That being said, all the dogs at the boarding house love Doil, and he has many girlfriends!)

After arriving in Canada, Bumsoon has settled in with her foster family beautifully. She is very obedient, house trained, and doesn’t bark. She almost immediately warmed up to her foster parents and loves to cuddle. She would make an amazing companion to a very lucky family.
