It has been another incredible year. We faced a lot of uncertainty last year, when it seemed the world was turned upside down, which forced us to rethink and adapt to new ways to continue our work. This year, while continued to navigate through these unprecedented times, we still managed to achieve more than we could have every hoped thanks to the hard work and support of our community. Here is our year in numbers!
- 148 dogs who traveled to Canada to meet their forever families (thank you, flight volunteers! We couldn’t do it without you)
- 3 dog meat operations permanently shutdown
- Over 100kg/220lbs of supplies (jackets, harnesses, leashes, collars, blankets) provided to dogs in our Korean shelter partners
- 1 large donation of essential supplies to support local dog owners facing income insecurity
- 2 memorable Freedom Walks, 1 of which was an inaugural event in Vancouver (great to be back in person and see everyone again!)
- Many meaningful relationships, new and old, with a diversity of organizations sharing common goals.
- Unlimited gratitude to all our volunteers, donors, adopters, fosters, followers, supporters, and cheerleaders for an amazing year.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! On behalf of the team at Free Korean Dogs, we are wishing everyone the best for 2022!
